Volunteer Opportunity: City Hope Dinner & Game Night

One of our most valued partnerships at City Church is with City Hope, a ministry that began at City Church and grew into an organization that draws San Franciscans from all walks of life into an experience of "radical hospitality" in the Tenderloin. One of City Hope's core programs are its dinners, where members of our community in the Tenderloin can receive a restaurant-style meal. This is intentionally designed to be a dignifying experience, and volunteers play an important role by seating guests, saying their names, and giving them the dignity of choice with menus. At some point during the program, volunteers also have the privilege to sit, eat, and talk with guests. Other volunteer roles involve waiting and bussing tables, expediting meals, plating food, etc. Volunteers must be able to arrive promptly at 5:30pm. Bringing children and youth: Under 9 years old: Due to insurance and security reasons, City Hope is unable to host volunteers younger than 9 years old Between 9 and 11 years old: Must be accompanied by a supervising adult volunteer serving alongside them (equaling 1 volunteer) 12 and older: Welcome to come and serve as an independent volunteer Please Register a week in advance.
