Youth Fall Retreat at Enchanted Rock

1.1 billion years ago, barren, alien landmasses collided to form the super continent Rodinia. Far beneath the surface, near what would become modern day Fredericksburg, molten magma was cooling and crystalizing into granite. Over hundreds of millions of years, that massive slab of granite would slowly rise to the surface as the softer rock above it gave way to erosion, until sometime 15-20 million years ago, when the pink granite dome we now know as Enchanted Rock was born. Dang, Earth is crazy. Enchanted Rock is cool. Humans have been camping in the area of Enchanted Rock for 12,000 years, and this Fall, you can join in the ancient tradition when we hit the Rock for our first ever Fall Retreat! You can expect campfires, good conversations, card games, dope views, and a chance to unplug from the chaos of life and plug in to the goodness of God and community. We're car-camping, so we'll have access to water, bathrooms, coolers with food and drinks, a grill, and a picnic table. Whether you're a hiking pro or you've never pitched a tent in your life, this trip is about slowing down, getting outside, and connecting with each other (and with God) in a way that's hard to do back home. Don't worry about having all of the right gear, either. Just sign up. We'll take care of the camping gear together. Spots are limited to 8 youth, so sign up soon!
