🎄 Christmas Toy Giveaway — Nominate a Child This Christmas, Discovery Church wants to come alongside families in our church and **our Bakersfield area community** who may be experiencing financial hardship and bless children with gifts during the Christmas season. **We encourage you to be on the lookout for a child or family who could use some extra support this year and nominate them for our Christmas Toy Giveaway.** Maybe it's a family you know personally, a single parent who is carrying a lot, a family that has recently experienced a difficult season, or someone who may simply be struggling to provide Christmas gifts for their children. You may hear about a need through your Group, a friend, a neighbor, a coworker, or someone you regularly encounter. This is an opportunity for us to put the love of Jesus into action and remind families that they are seen, valued, and loved. Our heart is not simply to give a child a toy, but to be a tangible expression of God's love and generosity. **“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” — 1 John 3:18** As you go through SZN 3, we encourage you to keep your eyes and heart open for opportunities to bless someone.
