Parenting Workshop - Helping Kids Navigate Anxiety
Thursday, Sep 24, 2026 at 7 PM to 8:30 PM
Kids today are navigating anxiety, social media, changing friendships, increasing pressure, and questions about identity and belonging—often leaving parents wondering how to best respond. Join Julie Smith and Lindsey Jackson, LPC-Associates , for an encouraging and practical conversation about understanding these challenges through both a counseling and biblical lens. We'll explore how anxiety can show up in kids and teens, how social media and friendships influence confidence and connection, and how parents can create a home where kids feel safe to communicate and process difficult emotions. You'll leave with practical tools to help your child develop healthy relationships, navigate difficult emotions, and grow in resilience—all while being reminded of the important role you play as you walk alongside them. This w orkshop is specifically designed for parents of students in grades 4-12, but open to any parent.
