Celebrate with the Diversity Band ! On October 10, 2026 , the Diversity Band returns to Abiding Love Lutheran Church (where they used to practice) for an outdoor concert and fellowship entitled Sacred Rhythms - A Celebration of Unity ! The Diversity Band is a local drumming and performance team organized by the Austin-Pune Sister City Committee. The Diversity Band honors the culture and music of both Pune, India and Austin, Texas. Composed of members from many ethnic and cultural backgrounds, the Diversity Band plays Indian folk music on traditional Dhol drums but also integrates many other musical instruments and styles from around the world. This event will have music (including Mixed Blessings as special guests!), dancing, food, and fun for ALL AGES! Please attend, bring your family, friends, and neighbors, and be prepared to enjoy—and participate in!—an evening’s celebration of music, culture, and human connection. Sacred Rhythms - A Celebration of Unity will be held OUTSIDE at the Abiding Love Field near the Fetter Center on October 10, 2026 beginning at 6:00 p.m. (CDT) and ending around 7:30 p.m. (CDT).
