Pet Blessing and Memorial

Sunday, Oct 4, 2026 at 2 PM to 3 PM

All pet parents are invited to bring their pets or a picture of them to the church courtyard for a brief service of blessing and gratitude for the joy they bring to us. Following the blessing, there will be a special service in the Chapel to remember and give thanks for all the pets who died this past year. Please note that our Best Friends Memorial Garden, a special area around the statue of St. Francis in the Courtyard, has been set aside as a space to memorialize our beloved pets. A plant and personalized, etched stone will be placed in memory of your “best friend,” if you wish. You do not have to purchase a stone to have your pet remembered at the service. If you do, however , wish to have a stone, please contact Ann Pierce Stith at apiercestith@gmail.com .
